2008 Results

(8-9-08) Anderson Speedway-Bauer Racing had an assume week end. 

Josh was tied for fastest time in practice with 11.178 sec. lap.  Josh draw

for seventh car to go out to qualify and put up the fourth fastest lap at a

11.071 sec.   This lined Josh up in the second row outside for the 300 lap

feature.  After the start he settled in the third spot and cruised for thirty laps.

Josh got around for second place and started to chase down the leader.  Josh

got to the rear bumper of the leader and worked on passing him for about 10

Laps.  Josh tried to pass him on the lower side but could not.  The leader was

not going to give the bottom up.  After not being able to get the bottom, Josh

went to the top side and pass for the lead.  Once in the lead Josh open up a

commanding lead until the power steering went out with fourteen laps to go

to the half way break.  With a couple of laps to go the second place car got

around Josh.  At the half way break, Josh was in second.  Team choose to

put on four new tires and fill the gas tank and filled the power steering fluid

up.  During the break the rain come down.  The track officials try to wait the

Rain out, but the rain did not stop.  The CRA officials called the race official.

Josh finished second behind Scott Hantz.  It was a good day for Bauer Racing.

(7-15-08) Slinger Super Speedway-Josh did not make the top 16 to make

it into the feature.  After making changes to the car, he went out for the

qualifying race.  Josh finished in the second spot and made it into the feature.

In the feature Josh fought hard all night long and finish 16th spot.

 

(7-6-08) Slinger Super Speedway-Josh qualified second, which put him

in the fourth row on the outside.  In the dash the right rear tire went flat do

to a rock.  In the feature Josh had to pull off to do brake failure.  Next race

will be the Miller Lite Nationals at Slinger Super Speedway.

 

(7-4-08) Madison International Speedway-The enduro went well for Josh

and Mike.  Josh finished in second and Mike finished fifth.

 

(6-29-08) Slinger Super Speedway-Do to the rain that fell off and on all

afternoon qualifying was cancelled.  Josh did not have any points at

the track so he had to start at the back of the “C” main.  Josh finished first

in the “C” main and transfer into the “B” main.  Josh had to start in the back

of the “B” main.  Josh drove the wheels off the car and finished 8th.  They

took the top ten from the “B” main and transferred them into the feature.

Do to tire issues, Josh pulled off the track before the green was thrown for

the feature.  Check out Josh and Mike at the enduro at Madison International

Speedway on July 4th.  Then Josh and the crew will be back at Slinger on

July 6th.  See you all there.

 

(6-21-08) Illiana Speedway-Josh Qualified 16th overall.  The car was not

the best handling car we have had in the pass.  The team is still working on

the new setup.  The car did not respond to changes during practice.  Josh

tried to work with the car during the race but could not get it to turn as well

as he like.  Josh finished 16th in the race.  Our next race will be Sunday

Night at Slinger Super Speedway.  Hope to you there and please stop by

(6-1-08) Dells Raceway Park-Well it was not a good day for Bauer Racing.

It was Josh’s first time at the Dells.  We tried the set-up from Plover but

it did not react the way we thought it would.  We worked on it for most of the

day.  Josh qualified 23th and missed the feature by .030 of a second.  Josh

went out for the qualifying heat but did not transfer into the feature.  The

car was pushing so bad he could not get to the front.  We made some

changes for the last chance race.  Josh came over the radio, after the warm

up laps and said if we made these changes before qualifying we would have

been in feature. It was not our day Josh did not transfer for the feature in the

last chance race.

 

(5-26-08) Plover-With a new set-up in the car, Josh qualified 10th.  This

put Josh on the outside front row for the feature.  The pole sitter and Josh

would battle for the lead for the first five laps, before Josh got out front.

Josh gave up lead on lap 12.   Josh was battling a loose car the whole race.

The furthest he fell back was third which he gained back in the latter part

of the race.  Josh crossed the finish line in second place.  Josh and the

the crew was pleased with the new set-up.  Look for us at the Dells 

Raceway Park on June 1st.   

 

(5-17-08) Marshfield-Once again Bauer Racing was rained out.

 

(5-4-08) Madison-Bauer Racing went to Madison International Speedway

to compete in the ASA Midwest Tour Echo Chainsaw 100.  It was not a

good day for the racing team and Josh.  The car was not handling to Joshes

liking.  Josh qualified 23th out of 48 cars.  In the qualifying race Josh

finished 4th and did not transfer into the feature.  In the last chance race

Josh finished 6th, which was not good enough to transfer into the feature.

 

Our next race is going to be in Marshfield, WI with Wisconsin Challenge

Series season opener.  

 

(4-10-08) Anderson-Once again mother nature has won.  Here is the press

 release from CRA and Anderson Speedway:

 

The forecast for blustery conditions cold temperatures and precipitation

this weekend has forced Anderson Speedway officials to postpone this

Saturday's Great Deals 125 for the CRA Super Series. All weather stations

 and websites in the area have predicted temperatures to fall throughout the

40's all day Saturday with high winds and a likely chance of rain. The open

practice set for Friday night has also been postponed.

 

"This is one of our premier events of the season and I want the fans and

competitors to be treated to the best possible conditions for it", said Rick

 Dawson, President of Anderson Speedway. "We have a long season with

 many better weather days coming consequently I think postponing this

event to later is in everyone's best interest. This is the second year in a row that this weekend has been postponed

due to cold weather and I'm not sure I am convinced yet that Global Warming is an issue, at least for Anderson Indiana".

 

The Great Deals 125 at Anderson Speedway has been rescheduled for Sunday, June 15^th.

 

"Adding this event on Father's Day Weekend will be a special treat for the fans," said Dawson, "This will be a big weekend at the Speedway following the big 200 lap CRA Street Stock race on Saturday, June 14^th, and having the Great Deals 125 on Sunday. We will have a special Father's Day celebration full of fun and excitement for dads and their families."

 

The CRA Super Series will now open its 2008 points season with the Manning Service 100 on Sunday, April 20^th at Winchester Speedway. There will be an Open Practice on Saturday, April 19^th with pits opening at 9am, practice

will go from 12noon until 5pm. Pit gates will open on Sunday, April 20^th at 8am, practice will begin at 10am, qualifying at 12noon, the race program will begin at 2pm.

 

 (3-31-08) Nashville—Inclement weather forced the cancellation of the All American 150 activities for this weekend.  The Music City Motorplex and The CRA Super Series are working to reschedule.  An announcement is

going to be made shortly.  The teams were able to get on the track for two practices on Saturday, before the rain came.  Josh had the 5th fastest time of the two practices.
